Guayaquil
Guayaquil, the largest city in Ecuador, is situated on the Gulf of Guayaquil at the mouth of the Guayas River. It is a major commercial port and industrial hub of the country, with a developed chemical, shipbuilding, and food industry. The city is home to an international airport and two universities. Renowned for its rich history dating back to 1537, Guayaquil experiences an average temperature of about 25 °C. The best time to visit is during the dry months from June to November. The city also offers numerous attractions, including the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Częstochowa.
