The Faroe Islands are a volcanic archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, located between Great Britain, Iceland, and Norway. They are an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. The main town is Tórshavn, home to over 52,000 people, where Faroese and Danish are the official languages. The archipelago consists of 18 islands, with its highest peak at Slættaratindur (882 m). The climate is temperate, featuring mild winters and cool summers. The best time to visit is during summer, when temperatures hover around 12 °C.
